About Denise

Do you want to feel better? Even with external forces intervening, a lot of what causes our mental health challenges comes from within ourselves. Understanding what we can control and working on that can make us stronger and able to deal with what isn’t in our control. I will give you the tools and we will use those together. Eventually, you won’t need me to help use the tools because you will be the master of your own tools. I want to empower you. Depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, suicidal ideations, and self-harm are all things I can help with. Let’s talk!

Denise Lucas is a graduate of Midwestern State University with a B.S. in Psychology and a M.A. in Clinical Mental Health. She has worked for the Local Mental Health Authority for 12 years as a case worker, then center manager, and now running the Mental Health First Aid program, including 12 years of crisis intervention. She has also worked at an inpatient mental health hospital for a year and a half. Denise uses primarily CBT techniques.
